Im Holdn My Color - (Holly) AQHA # 4942774 (Incentive Fund) and IBHA #A-26690 January 26, 2007 Buckskin Filly
2/11/07 - Holly is just a sweetheart and loves to be scratched (pajama's get itchy). She started at about a week old with her head in her mother's feed and now it's a given that the two of them share the same pot! She was even nosing around in my pockets today for cookies that were once there, and she knew her mother was eating, so she wanted some too. She seems to be very athletic and loves to run and spin in the arena which is great - she's getting bigger and stronger every day. I've had to let out the belly band on her pajama's twice already! We're looking forward to some nice, warm days when she can get outside to romp and see the rest of the world a little bit.
5/8/07 - Update - Holly has been weaned and is coming along very well. She loves to visit with the other horses in the barn, to be curried and handled. She's getting very good at standing untied while I clean her feet and brush her, and she's getting started on some flexing exercises and doing very well. She's grown a great deal over these past few months and I will be getting new pictures up soon - although she's deep into shedding her heavy winter fuzz and looks a little choppy, you'll see all of the dun factor on her neck, across her back, and over her hip, and her body is a very creamy, buttermilk color.
